The Institute of Statistics and Data Science at National Taiwan University invites applications for a faculty position at the open rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with an anticipated start date of February 1, 2027. The appointment may be tenure-track or non-tenure-track, depending on qualifications and mutual agreement.
We welcome candidates with expertise in any area of statistics and data science, including areas related to machine learning. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work connects statistics with emerging areas in data science. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate strong potential for research, effective teaching, and engagement in academic service.
Proficiency in Mandarin is not required. Courses may be taught in either English or Mandarin.
